Description
Colorless, water-repellent, solvent-based water repellent.
The best technical solution to prevent water penetration into facades and sloping roofs.
It consists of creating a barrier to the penetration of liquid water and at the same time allowing the materials
to breathe, i.e. allowing the exchange of water vapor between the inside and outside.
Properties
- Keeps the appearance of treated materials unchanged;
- Excellent penetration capacity, which guarantees good impregnation, does not create a film on the surface of the materials;
- It is not sticky, so it does not stick dirt to the surface;
- Prevents water from entering, but ensures the continuity of water vapor transfers;
- Prevents the proliferation of fungi and algae on treated surfaces;
- Prevents the appearance of efflorescence and runoff on treated surfaces;
- Prevents chipping (e.g. of tiles) due to the increase in volume caused by the freezing of water inside the materials.
Composition
Colorless, solvent-based, water-repellent, siloxane-based water repellent, in solution.
Support
HIDROPRIME-S is especially suitable for application on porous surfaces.
• Examples are: brick, exposed brick, solid brick, masonry, tile, fiber cement, natural stones, ceramic tiles and concrete.
• Typical examples: colourless protective and waterproofing treatment for concrete facades, walls and pillars, and pitched clay/fibre cement tile roofs. It can also be used as a horizontal barrier against rising damp, applied under pressure by injection into holes made for this purpose.
Application instructions
- The product is presented ready to apply and dilution is not recommended.
- It can be applied using a low-pressure sprayer (manual) for large surfaces and, for small surfaces, use a brush.
- The application must be uniform and continuous and in an upward direction (from bottom to top).
- A good application essentially depends on the absorption capacity of the material and the amount of water repellent applied, which determine the penetration depth of the treatment.
- In most cases, two coats of water repellent are sufficient to obtain good impregnation.
- The time between coats is approximately 1 to 2 hours.
- Always provide ventilation in application areas (especially indoors).
